How To Consciously Produce An Insanely Great Day…Everyday

Skip into a great day...everyday

I think it is safe to say everyone longs to have a great day everyday.
It is intrinsic to our nature to travel a course of least resistance which is an element that is paramount to a great day.
Think about it, if you are having a great day, you will be more productive, a lot happier, and even feel better about yourself.
Many people think that what they feel is outside their control. To the contrary, you are more in control of your everyday life than what you may give yourself credit for.
Now, just how do you have a great day everyday despite the fact that there are negative elements all around you that can significantly affect your positive mood?….The answer is practical, pragmatic and actionable.
Here are some tips that will help you have a great day every single day.
1. Be grateful for the good things you have in your life.
Start the day by thinking about what’s present in your life that you are thankful for. For example, you can be grateful for simply being alive, for having a great family, and even for having a good job and good health. You can even be grateful for your skills and talents. By editing your thoughts and thinking about the positive things in your life, you will feel a lot better thus leading to starting your day with lasting positivity.
2. Do everything to the best of your ability.
Be present in the moment and be glad about everything you do and exert a little extra effort. Whether you are taking out the garbage, doing complicated jobs or wherever you are, be there totally. Action arising out of insight into what is required is more effective than action taken out of negligence or being non-focused.
3. Exercise your body and mind.
Try to jog a few times around the block everyday or go to the gym and exercise or you can also consider playing physically demanding sports, such as football, basketball or tennis with friends. Also give your mind a little workout. Learn new skills and read more books. Try doing mental math sometimes instead of relying mostly on the calculator.
Exercising your mind and body will eventually keep it refreshed and even free it from stress.
4. Take time for solitude and fellowship with your family.
Spend time with your family by playing games, walks, picnics, conversation or sharing laughs with wholesome comedy movies. Also take some time to visit with yourself in complete solitude. Family time will permit you to strengthen your connection and nurture what’s truly important to you while the solitude will give you ample time to reflect and mentally reinforce the positive in your life.
5. Eliminate the negative in your life.
Get rid of your negative habits little by little, such as smoking, drinking alcohol, and spending too much time watching TV. By shedding these habits, you will be able to use the time formerly spent on these habits for more productive and more positive things.
6. Plan an even better day tomorrow.
Look ahead by charting your positive “to do” list for the following days ahead. By mapping out what you must do the next day in order to make it a great day, you will be able to have something to look forward to.
“If you don’t think every day is a great day try going without one.” ~Jim Evans
I happen to think some of these strategies may take a little time to master but once you start you will be paving the way to reap HUGE rewards in the quality of you days for the rest of time.
Now, I’ve got a few questions for you…
Did I miss any? What is your technique for getting the most productivity, fun and adventure into your days ensuring they are great? Also it certainly is a precious privilege to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love, wouldn’t you agree?

Niko,
Thanks so much for your kind words.
Yes, we are all here for a limited time and making sure we get the most
of that time is paramount.
What really only matters in the end is:
how much you smiled
how much you laughed
how often you ran barefoot in the plush grass
and how much you enjoyed life
Be well my friend.
Kevin
hey kevin,
you have created a good and informing post! its in our hands how we plan, organize and what we make out of our day. nobody else can determine our actions that we take nor what we are striving for on a daily basis.
looking forward reading your next posts.
